project.
Natalie Merchant is graciously lending her voice with her
touching song "Beloved Wife", and
Livingston Taylor is contributing a
beautiful duet with
Carly Simon called "Best of Friends".
Use your music to make a difference!

Musicians for a Cause song contests are designed to produce a custom CD of songs that
create an emotional bond between the listener and the nonprofit organization sponsoring the
CD. We search for the best possible songs to create awareness and compassion for the cause
being supported, using music to help them develop a broader and more committed base of
supporters.

This is different!

Our projects offer recognition through significant exposure as well as affiliation with
established artists and the opportunity to contribute to a worthy cause in a unique way.

Our projects have meaning and offer our winners a level of exposure that would be difficult to
attain any other way.
Every project lists the expected distribution. You'll have exposure to
the base of supporters for the nonprofit organization, the sponsor's patrons and members, and
the fan base of each of the named artists involved.

Each CD features several established artists and the remainder of the songs -
a minimum of 10
- will be selected from the contest.

Our current compilation CD projects are listed below. If you'd like the opportunity to use your
music to help bring life to a cause, please submit your entry. Specific guidelines are provided
for each project.
Moore Center Services provides support for individuals with developmental disabilities,
acquired brain injuries and the elderly to help in their mission of
"Creating opportunities for
a good life!"
Click here to visit the Moore Center website. This project is specifically targeted
to support their program for the elderly, Moore Options for Seniors. Be sure to watch the
Moore Options for Seniors video and you'll certainly find some inspiration!

Also, you can imagine the issues seniors face when living under these circumstances:
* 5 million seniors live on less than $10,000 annually.
* 29% skipped treatments, tests or prescriptions because of costs.
* 25% of seniors survive on social security alone.
* An estimated 5 million regularly sacrifice food to pay bills.
* 52% are living with a disability

Songs can be about anything that creates awareness and inspires compassion for the elderly,
growing older or issues facing people as they age.
See the contest details for more
information.

This contest also includes a request for a song specifically for use by AARP. They're
interested in songs with a theme of
"Age is just a number, and life is what you make it".
Please see the contest details for more information. To find out more about AARP, go to
www.aarp.org. And, to find out about AARP’s activities in New Hampshire, go to

Anticipated visibility: Approximately 250,000

This CD will have exposure to over 250,000 people through a direct marketing email
campaign and/or direct mail to the AARP New Hampshire members and the Moore Center
base of supporters. Additional visibility will also come from inclusion in press releases,
newsletters, advertising, concert promotion, additional concert event sponsors and the fan
base of each of the named artists involved.

Here's a Moore Options for Seniors Video... this is just one of their programs.
Our sincerest thanks goes out to all who participated in supporting this cause. The songs and
stories were incredibly touching and this is truly the most comprehensive collection of songs in
the world that bring compassion, love, and a touch of humor to the issues around aging.

Our goal was to create such a compelling compilation that each person who hears it finds
several songs that they
just have to tell someone about, and we certainly accomplished that.

The "Life in the Years" project went out to over 350,000 talented songwriters around the
world.
We had entries from Australia to Iceland, India to Trinidad, the United States to the
United Arab Emirates, all over Europe and everywhere in between! So many songs were inspired
by this event that there are now thousands more people singing songs that bring compassion,
awareness and humor to the issues around aging.

These artists are also inspiring thousands more through their performances around the world!
This grassroots effort is making a global difference in creating awareness by exposing more and
more people to the issues around aging through music.

The songs and stories are all very touching in their own way and represent so many important
perspectives and messages. Click here to see the final selections. It wasn't easy!
